About the Book

When God formed the physical body from the dust of the ground for humanity to live in, it was lifeless. “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground” (Genesis 2:7 NKJV). The physical body was created vacant. It was only an “earth house” for the spirit and soul to live in. The body in and of itself cannot know God, love God, or serve God. It was formed with no life residing within. But it had incredible potential, as does all of God’s creation. What the human body lacked was the breath of God living on the inside of it. “[And the Lord God] breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being” (Genesis 2:7 NKJV). When God breathes, things come alive. When God breathed the breath of life into Adam, he became a living soul, a speaking spirit. Now he has the ability to know God, love God, and serve God. What made this possible? God imparted His divine nature into Adam when He breathed the breath of life into him. The breath of God is what brings things into existence, and it is God’s breath that keeps things from coming apart. Without Him, there is no life, and life can’t be sustained without His breath.
